So far I've only been on the Eurohoon events (and a few privately organised trips by the eurohoon organiser), I've taken this decision for two reasons, Firstly it it's a people thing. ie going on tour with the same loonatics I argue and pisstake with on here rather than a bunch of strangers. Secondly the organisers have continued to consistently provide great roads, hotels and on tour backup.
I did look at doing the furball06 as well this year but the dates didn't tie in for me. I had a look at the rabbit run site earlier this week but TBH (being a tightwad) it's a lot more money than the Eurohoon trips. Experience tells me that paying for 5 star hotels every night when you are spending 8/9 hours a day in the car is just a waste of money as all we normally want to do is grab a shower, then go out for the evening for something to eat and have a laugh murdering a few beers into the early hours. I note some of the additional cost of the rabbit run will be returning the cars back to the UK, IMHO may as well take an extra couple of days and drive back (it is a driving holiday afterall).
