MR2 1.8 VVTI - anything to watch out for?

Hi,

Have never owned an MR2 before and am looking at MR2 1.8 VVTI with around 80,000 miles and at £2-3k.

Is this a good model to go for - anything expensive to watch out for?

Good cars? More fun than my current MX5 1.8?

Any advice appreciated,
