Mazda 6 2.0 TS petrol cambelt or chain?
Discussion
Hi,
Just bought the Mazda and its got 62k on it.
Its a 2002/2003 model but unsure when cambelt needed changing, however someone said it may be a chain?
Any suggestions?
The car came with little docs but seems tidy and very straight (checked over by a mechanic mate).
Any pointers to a site with info on servicing intervals would be great too.
Cheers,
Al

The 1.8s are chain.
I'd wager 2.0 are chain also.
Wifey has a 1.8s petrol, service intervals are very 12,000 miles or 1 year whichever is sooner. Service at an Indy is about £150 - £200 depending. Our last service was £150 for Oil, filters (inc pollen), plugs and labour.
Mazda servicing (looking through the history) for a 2011 2.0 TS which my Dad just bought (today) was £250 for a 1 year service, oils, plugs, filters, stamps and inspection. Main dealer prices.
EFA they are chain.
