Hi All,

I have my Dads old S12 silvia in the garage that hasnt moved for 6 years and want to get her back on the road.
The car is original par the exhaust and how it left the factory untouched with 18k on the clock.
My question is whats the best way to start her and get her back on the road without causing damage?
All belts are original and oil last changed in 2000 due to lack of use.

Can anyone recommend a spares supplier for this Silvia or anyone that could do the belt for me? (Nissan want £600!!!)

Cheers

Thanks for your reply.
Ill try and dig some out but they will be from back in the day or JAE.
The garage is big enough to work in but not take photo's.
The other issue will be the clutch plates used to stick even when used, so I am worried about this.
Think we used to just start her in gear and hold the brake on.

Its a good looking car for its day and retro is everything today as no interesting cars being made today.

Ive not managed to find any photos yet but thought I'd pick you're brains as youve done some recommissioning:

Can you advise the best starting/preperation process to illiminate chance of damage ect..?
Im wary of just starting her after reading too much on the net. Ive started other cars that have stood for 5 years and never thought twice.
