Nissan Juke 1.5dci connecta rev counter problem

I've had my Nissan Juke for near 3weeks an the rev counter is stuck on 1000rpm with engine off could anyone help me fix this problem

Have you tried a Nissan dealer?

Not yet until I know the cause of the problem

I bought it brand new an I checked the sensors an one was lose so clicked it bk in sorted nw if anything else happens I'll take it bk

Which is it?

Its brand new from dealer I've seemed to fix it as a sensor clip was lose I'll take it bk if I cant do it myself

I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but most engine wear is caused when the engine is cold and has just started up.

To combat this, Nissan have changed their cars so that even when turned off, they run at 1000rpm. This keeps the engine warm, ready for when it is next started and saves wear and tear.

The rev counter was staying at 1000rpm due to a lose sensot clip sorted nw an when the engine was on it was idling at 2000rpm not the standard 700rpm so I took a look at all the clips an found one lose ☺️

Yes Nissan did change their cars to do that but only for automatic restart when u stop on lights or at junctions it was staying at 1000rpm when I got out after parking up an up to 2000rpm an staying when I started it bk up an if it stayed at 1000rpm when parked up ready for next start up I would not have any detail left lol
