Sadly, one of my neighbours died last year and the relatives asked me if I could dispose of his car for them.

It looked a sad old thing once pushed out into the daylight, flat tyres, flat battery, no fuel…

But I noticed it only had 31,500 miles on the clock and the interior, though dusty, was hardly worn!

Turns out it hasn’t been on the road since 1999!!!

So, I may be mad, but a new battery, plugs and air filter, plus some of Shells finest she started. New rubber all round and she even went through a MOT with no advisories!

Not sure what to do next with her though??? I’m sure it’s not exactly a classic, but part of me just wants to run around in it for a while, so retro lol...

More to follow...

I would love to keep the old girl, we already have 4 cars in the family and I may be hard pushed to convince the Wife I need a 1990s toyota as well lol...

I have already had the comment "What on earth are you going to do with that old thing!" :-)

Well... We listed the car on ebay (for £1991.00) and it sold within a day for full asking price!!! I'm not convinced they are a genuine buyer though... No feedback and only one line responses ect ect. I have requested a deposit so we will see what happens.

Watch this space... :-)

Now sold!!! And would you believe it, after getting enquiries from all over the country and even Ireland, a lovely young lad less than 2 miles away has brought it!

So if go to a JAP show next year, you may see the old girl :-)
