Thoughts? I must admit I like them. If I lived I. London and not Manchester I'd buy one. I'm not one for buying a car to impress strangers but something is stopping me.

What do they drive like? Dead overlight steering in a claustrophobic box or nippy, easy to drive and characterful or a balance of the above? Lots of space?

None of the voting options apply to me, but whilst the Cube doesn't interest me at all from a driving or owning point of view, I like to see something different on the roads as an antidote to the curvy blandness of most cars. smile
Definitely agree there. Lots in the Japanese market that would liven up our roads here

In white I think they look wrong. Dark colours it'd look quite nice.

Is that Murial removable? It should peel off easily with the help of a hairdryer. Then it'd look 100% better.

A 2003 gen2 Z11 1.4 auto Cube.

To answer your questions, they are quite honestly huge inside. Considering they take up the road space of a golf, they are massive inside and very practical. Bench seats front and back are great. Even with the front seats all the way back, the rear seats have almost 1ft of knee space. The rear seats also slide.for bigger/smaller boot although even all the way back, it's bigger than most hatches and very tall. Seats are sofa like comfy although an upright seating position that can wear thin on longer journeys.

To drive, it's better to compare it more to a minibus than a car. They're tall with soft suspension so don't give a great deal of confidence taking corners at speeds, but then, it's a large box on wheels with a 1.4 engine... Corners at speed rarely happen.

They're slow. Not much else to say but nippy is not how anyone could describe a cube. They're great around town and ok on A roads but the 1.4 does struggle on motorways. It will happily cruise at 65-75 and will go quicker if you like but there's no point. Don't buy a cube if you want to go fast.

Great practical quirky car for family and commuting duties. Useless at going fast. I love it but it would have been so much better with a turbo diesel.

As for what people think, I couldn't care less. Honestly, I've not had a negative comment about it and had plenty of people stop me to chat in car parks etc. Most people have no idea what it is but are intrigued. Even people who didn't "get it" when I bought it have grown to like it once they've actually been in it and realised there's more to it than just being a box. Even the missus likes it, although she won't openly admit it...

The owners club on Facebook is also full of really decent, knowledgeable and approachable people. Even when you park next to them at b&q for a chat...

03's are really cheap. How reliable is it and what's your mileage?

185 polled and only a quarter said definitely no . I bet PHers would like them more than the general public..

Weird how we in the UK are so hung up on how a vehicle looks but will drive round in warmed up version's of basic shopping cars.

Or pick ups with names like 'warrior'
