Supra NA-T or Skyline R34 GTT?
Discussion
Wondering if there's anyone on here who is lucky enough to own both or has driven both of these cars. I currently own a Supra NA Auto. I have been toying with the idea for a while now of changing to an R34 GTT, mainly because of it being turbo'd and manual. I could always go down the NA-T route with my supra, but would probably cost more in the long run.
Is there anyone who could shine some light on on the pros and cons of both, making my decision a little easier?
Obviously in an ideal world I'd be choosing between a Twin Turbo 6 speed Supra and an R34 GT-R, but, alas, I'm not a millionaire 😂 so the cheaper options will have to do.
Thanks.

I think what it's going to come down to is cost. I already own a 1993 NA auto Supra, but find it a bit sluggish and I'm not at all a fan of the auto gearbox. I'm aware that NA's did come with the weak W58 manual also, but as mine is the Aerotop model, and they were only made as automatic (apart from the USDM cars). After months and months of research, I can conclude that it's going to cost me around another £10,000 to convert the car to a manual and to turbo it properly. And that could somewhat affect the cars reliability.
However, if I sold the car I'd only need another 2-3k to put towards an R34 that is already manual and turbo'd as stock. Although I prefer the look and build quality of the supra, the skyline would probably be a more cost effective car for the style of driving i would like to be doing.
Unfortunately a twin turbo 6 speed Supra and an R34 GTR have risen in value wayyyy out of my reach so I'm having to look at the cheaper alternatives.

Hi,
Do you have more details on your Supra Aero-top?
Year, Mileage, Colour - could be interested if sold at a reasonable price.
Thanks
James

I'm currently in the process of arranging a manual gearbox (R154) conversion which, if it goes ahead, will increase the value of the car to around the 13-14k mark.
I'm not entirely sure at this point that I am going to sell the car. Unless somebody was willing to offer a decent price for it.
The car has just under 125k on the odo (mix of miles and km) and is a 93 car in red. It has been recently valued at just over £10k as it has had a recent respray and bodywork refurbishment and is in excellent condition. At the minute, engine and drivetrain is stock (NA Auto) with a front lip, side skirts and rear spats fitted along with 19" Calibre GT-R wheels.
