Nissan Elgrand Highway Star missing remote controls

Hello all

I've just imported an Elgrand Highway Star from Japan (2005).

It's currently still with the garage, but they have informed me that there are 2 remote controls missing that slot into the rear of each of the 2 front seats. One is for passengers in the rear to control the DVD player and the other is for them to control the A/C and rear sunroof.

I thought I'd just google these accessories and there would be people in the UK importing these types of spares from Japanese car breakers for resale, but none of the Japanese parts suppliers I have contacted have got any or know how to get them.

[NB: What with the Shaken and these cars being nearly 14 yo now, plus the fact that importing from Japan isn't as alluring as it was years ago, surely loads of Elgrands must be getting scrapped in Japan - it's a big country! We've only imported this one because it is a wheelchair adapted vehicle and unique in that you can't buy this type of car in the UK].

I have tried searching myself to see if there are any to import, but I must be doing something wrong as I am not returning any results from my searches.

Does anybody on here have any helpful advice? I am aware that the remotes are not necessary to operating the vehicle, but I would like them.

It's worth a try isn't it?

My bad, but I forgot to mention that I did try contacting them via their online contact form and nobody got back to me. I had forgotten the name of the company actually as it was a few weeks ago now.

I haven't rung because they're in Australia. I have tried again now though (using the same online contact form), so if they ignore me a 2nd time I guess I'll just have to take the hint.
