Hey guys,

Looking at finally getting a run around and I have to say, the Suzuki swift sport zc32s is right up there with the best of them

I'm after some user feedback on things to check out before buying, any service intervals/common problems but I know they are pretty bullet proof!

Are there any part which can do with refreshing (suspension/bushes/mounts/) currently looking at at 2014 with 60k so getting to the point where perishing becomes an issue.

Thanks guys!

Mines my main car stedaly. Fine on motorways. Usually stick mine on cruise at 80 and sit. Not terrible on noise, never given me a bad back etc. I drove from Yorkshire to Edinburgh in it few months back.

Only thing you could really pull it on is fuel consumption. Think I get average of 35 but I rev it and chuck it about a lot if I’m honest. Boots small but does me fine.

Flip side to the fuel is how much they are for what you get and the kit you get. Plus mechanically old school so cheap to work on.

They are nothing like a 130 for performance obviously, However i’ve not found myself missing any of my faster previous cars

Thanks man, exactly what I needed to hear! yer they are a bargain and ive seen a few 2014/2015 dropping below 5k now so its right in the ball park!

I have a ZC32s and previously an EP3. The Suzuki is taller geared and more relaxed on motorways, and fuel economy is quite a bit better; typically 40-45mpg on a decent run depending on the speeds sustained compared to 30-35mpg for the Honda. Obviously performance of the EP3 is in a different league, and I do miss it sometimes.
Tbh Im seeing 22-28mpg in my current car so either would be better! but im leaning towards the swift as the prices are crashing atm, leaves me some pennies to update a few bushes/ springs etc as well as the cheaper tax/insurance/running costs and a lot newer car to!

I really miss cruise control on the motorway, but I rarely do more than 1 or 2 hour trips, ill have to sort a test drive!

Great little cars! We had one and took it up to around 100,000 miles. Only ever needed consumables. The wife found it a bit tiring on the motorway (~300mile was too far in one hit, 200mile was the limit without a break apparently).

Few days after we got it I borrowed it to go to work, took the afternoon off and did a trackday at Brands Hatch. Melted the ditch finder tyres the previous owner had fitted, had brilliant fun and it held its own against cars with 80-100hp more. Would have done even better if the tyres were half way decent.

I'd recommend them to anyone.
I don't know how you do 200 miles without a break in any car tbh!!
does the power/torque on the motorway not cause issue?

this bloke can turbo or supercharge them

http://www.ctc-performance.co.uk/

he can also make them a 1.8.

also thought hmmm shall i bore mine to a 1.8 and turbo it smile

more than the car id guess tho frown

a map is suppose to be good mind, not in performance figures but in throttle feedback:

http://www.ctc-performance.co.uk/mapping-2/.

Having said that they are a hoot standard
Ive actually spoken to him! CTC is on the SSSOC page, knows everything about them! I guess for the ring to use them, they must be pretty handy!

a map sounds like a good start, even <5% with better throttle response would be good.

so its down to two.

Giulietta 170 1.4Tb 2011
71k needs cambelt

Or

2014
Suzuki swift sport 1.6
needs Service.

both are priced well. under budget. need little bits like service and such.

I hate decisions.

My current car is 300bhp and it's quite a frustrating drive as you can't really exploit the car... Ideally I'll be looking for something cheaper (first time house buyer) as well as being more fun which this seems to fit. ~7ish to 60 is good performance in my book, couldn't imagine how annoying an AMG would be day to day biglaugh
this is the issue i'm having! Mk1 TT with 265hp and I love it but for a to b driving on the commute it barely gets a run out.

Smaller cars with 100-150hp seem to the best bet in having good un on that tyoe of drive!

test driving a 2015 SSS on Monday!

Well, how did you find it?
I may have bought it!

Lovely little car, 2015 with higher miles but immaculate and serviced well.
Gear box oil I think needs changing but I think its just more notchy vs the tt box.

Can throw it around, and I feel you can use it more than a more powerful car.... definitely quicker than the stats say. 7-8seconds rather than 8+

Sorry for the late reply! Ive just started a new job!

guess it wasn't for him
It was!

Love how easy it is to drive and enjoy and can do the motorway trips when needed.

Had it a week, haven't been able to get it under 40mpg, so much cheaper to run than the TT. and can really feel how light it is!

5500 for the 2015 with 70k. too good a deal to pass up!!

Are there any major service check points on the m16a?

not really 9k service which i dont see as a bad thing nice new oil, i have read that it wants valve clearance checks at some point but no idea on mileage for that.

Lets have some pics then smile
I have read its 72k hence why i'm abit frown as it wasn't clear!

Ill have to contact Suzuki to see prices for it, as I can see it being expensive, maybe labour?

Instagram is @mk2_sss along with my TT @ste225tt

probably the best place where I post pics of them!

I'm looking at the zc32 and the Civic FN2 Type R as my next car and was wondering how the zc32 performs on the motorway when it comes to overtaking. Does it lack the power to accelerate say from 60-75? I'm coming from a Mercedes C Class diesel so it's torquey and overtaking on the motorway isn't much of an issue.
I havent had any issues, but youll have to drop to 5th.

Its more of a car for occasional motorwaying, or long 65mph stretches.

Loving it so far, HKS filter on it, and modified backbox going on soon! Thats all you really need!

Anything from a diesel you will lack torque.

My zc32 is fine for over taking but its lighter than standard so will be lol
I think moving from any bigger car, youll feel the lack of torque but you gain the lightness.
