hi mate, ive had no probs with it...touch wood!
I know of a few people with this sort of power on std boxes, and they all say to treat it with a bit of respect, and it will last. Its not really that weak a box compared to scoobies etc, its just that theyve built up a bad reputation with people putting harsh paddle clutches in and launching it all the time. sooner or later something is bound to give with all that traction.

Thats why i put an organic clutch in instaed of a paddle, its nicer to drive with and is more sympathetic to the box. Plus atm its running about 300-320bhp, but the engine is built for over 400 with the right turbo, in fact there are some people running the same spec engine as mine with big turbo's and 2bar boost for about 500bhp!!!mad!

gazboy - edited for you! most people know what sort of hp the mk3 supra bottom end can handle, which is why you wouldnt ad yours like that, but what it actually has. In the gtir world std engines are nowhere near as good! therefore when a gtir is advertised as 400+bhp spec it means its had forged pistons, along with other internal mods to allow it to run that sort of power.

If you read the title i said it was 400+bhp spec, not that it was running 400 atm, with the turbo it has on it,it is capable of about 360-380ish, at 1.4-1.5bar. The turbo is built to run 1.4bar all day long, and is only running 1bar atm. Not many std engined gti-r's can safely run 400bhp, which is why ive advertised it like this. sorry if my title confused anyone.

Jodypress - whats driving a tvr like compared to the gtir? im looking at moving onto a cerbera!

Careful, you know it's against forum rules to advertise your car on a thread. I've let this topic run as it's an interesting car, but don't take the mick, eh?
