Hi all, as I posted a month or so back, I have obtained a 200SX S13. This cost me £100. Therefore, I am looking for as many cheap (CHEAP!) mods as possible to make it go that bit better. (long post lots of questions)

I am pretty unfamiliar with japanese cars and turbo cars but not bad on tuning more traditional stuff.

I believe I need a boost controller and I believe a bleed off type is the cheapest. Can someone tell me some more about this device - how it works, how easy it is to fit/set up and what boost pressure would be safe with a standard turbo. The car already has a very noisy (and annoying) Bailey dump valve.
Bear in mind this will be my competition/drift car so will do very few miles.

If I up the boost, what else will I need to do to compensate/make the most of increased boost? Fuel pump? I intend to replace the exhaust for a freer flowing one.

When I took off the crankcase cover (the plastic thing with twin cam 16 valve written on it) I found plastic electronic box things above the plugs - coil packs?

The brakes (car has been static for over a year) are pretty knackered. I'll get new pipes, fluid and pads. Any recommendations for pads - I need something that heats up quickly. Would replacement standard pads be best or can anyone advise?

Any other suggestions for more speed are welcome.

Thanks in advance

aarrghhh! SXOC is blocked on my work network!
galling!

does my car not have an LSD already? I meant to jack it up last night to check but I thought it did?
(it fairly spun round on me nicely when I gave it 4500rpm some lock and a dumped clutch on my tarred farm road!)

what's a Dawes device? how does it work? (and most important - how much does it cost??!!)
