Anyone gone 5 series touring to X5 circa 2007 and later

Ive not driven the X5 but have a e61 530d currently.

Was wondering if anyone had made the move and regretted losing the small amount of driving thrill the touring gives you?

Thanks for the reply. I'd expect the touring to be more fun and cheaper to run. I do prefer the looks of the facelift x5 tho.
