Thinking about trading in my E70 X5 and getting an F15. The E70 isn't "that good" on MPG so wondering what the current F15 is like ?

Does anyone have a 40d or 50d ? Be interested what it does in general use and also on the motorway.

Cheers!

I've got a new 50d and I'm currently averaging 26mpg.

To be fair it's two weeks old and only done 600 miles. On my way to Heathrow this afternoon I averaged 30mpg.

Coming from an F10 M5 it's figures I've not seen for a while.

By the way, lovely, lovely cars :yes;

Go and have a look at the Sytner site, they've got a bucket load of new X5's for sale but be aware some are 2016 spec, 2017 with the new iDrive etc.
How can you tell which is which spec/mode year?

Also what differences are there on latest model?
I think 2017 model cars have a touchscreen iDrive and Apple CarPlay....not sure what else!

Very helpful on the MPG's Gents. Only time I've seen 30mpg is when the cruise control is on in a 50mph roadworks. I average 23mpg now but when I lived in London that was less than 20mpg.

Is your E70 a 30d or 40d? mine is an LCI 40d, and is averaging above 30mpg (just), albeit I don't live in London, but commuter belt. Goes to show what the heavy body does, when the wife X3 equivalent does quite a few mpg more, and it spends it life pottering around town
Mine is an SD (early car) so effectively a 40d but with a six speed box. The eight speed introduced on the LCI made a massive difference I think.

I had a 2014 F15 40d and my average was 31mpg. I must have a heavy foot frown
I fyou do a lot of stop/start urban driving that really hurts MPG in these cars ?
