Alloy replaced under warranty - no hassle.

After washing my wife's 2016 X1 on Sunday I noticed one wheel had four areas of corrosion...









Emailed photos to the DP at Sytner Leicester, where the car was purchased, explaining no external damage.
Service manager has emailed today asking me when I can pop along to have a new wheel fitted under warranty. It will be ready tomorrow.

That's good customer service.

When you say "did", do you mean replaced rather than refurbished?

Looking at a 4 series with a scuffed wheel a while ago, for my son, BMW Northampton (the servicing dealer) said they would not repair diamond cut alloys and that the only option is to replace with new. It was something to do with the removal of material to re-finish making the wheel sub-standard.
