Milltek on an M135i
Discussion
Ladies and Gents - has anybody put a Milltek exhaust on their M135i?
I am thinking about it and I see there is a 'cat back' version and a 'rear silencer' version both of which come in 'road' or 'race'.
I don't want to spend a fortune so am leaning towards the rear silencer version (which is £600ish and easy enough to fit I believe) but are they any good and would I be right in sticking to the 'road' rather than 'race' as I am a long way past my boy racer days!
Any experiences or thoughts would be appreciated

Found this which may be of interest ref the different driving modes - I now have Sport set up with 'Drivetrain' only which gives me nice soft suspension for around town but had the valves open on the exhaust all the time I think so I best try this for a while before I do anything else!
Got it fitted today: cost £80 at local place - no welding needed and only tricky bit was where to cut the old one.
Will get a short video done this weekend but it sounds great - not massively louder but a bit deeper and plenty of pops and crackles etc. To the untrained eye you wouldn't notice much difference in the looks department but I prefer it to the OEM item.
I got the original exhaust away with me and I could barely lift the ruddy thing it's so heavy whereas the Milltek one was a doddle to move about even in a big box

Here's a quick video in case in might be of use to others - it's the Milltek Rear Silencer (Road) kit - £600 to buy and £80 to fit

Looks good, should have gone cat-back as a minimum though.
You may be right - there are two other pipes in the cat-back kit which I could pick up for another £300ish if needed but will wait a bit and see first. Main worry was it would end up being too loud... as noted above I am a long way past my boy racer days

Considering doing the same, milltek rear silencer for my M235i just have a two things worrying me, did you experience any drone with just the Milltek rear silencer?
And would you say that it’s worth it over stock?
Cheers appreciate the help.
I went full cat-back in the end and I'm happy with the noise and the look - it's a clear improvment on stock. There is a *slight* drone but it's never been enough to bother me and I am sensitive to that sort of thing! And would you say that it’s worth it over stock?
Cheers appreciate the help.
One thing to watch - my hatch has the underbody brace and the garage needed to buy longer bolts to get this to clear the exhaust, not a big deal deal and not sure if this will apply to the coupe but just to be aware.
