M140i software update
Discussion
Evening everyone
My M140i went in the other day for a new tyre and whilst there was told there was a recall for a software update which needed doing.
Since the update the throttle response when setting off is non-existent around 20% of the time for a few seconds then all of a sudden it gives you everything at once. It's quite bad when trying to set off from junctions or on to roundabouts when you have plenty of time then when you press the accelerator all that happens is the car starts creeping forward (auto gearbox) as it would if you'd just taken your foot off the brake and let it roll on it's own.
A few seconds later (and because you start pressing the throttle down a bit more) it gives you loads of acceleration at once and in the current conditions all it does is spin the wheels.
I haven't rung the dealer yet to find out what the update was exactly but has anyone come across such a throttle delay like this after an update?
Cheers
