840i M Sport Lease Deal

Starting up a thread for those of us speccing, ordering and then waiting for our 840's - most of which will be on the Gateway2Lease deal of £3,165 down and £351.75 a month.

What has spec and options has everyone gone for?

Ill be coming out of a 2017 S5 and this is a nice motor to be jumping into. Been looking at them for a few months.

Not really any no cost options that I can see on the config.

I spoke at length with Daniel from Gateway2Lease this morning as I had fell victim the Central Leasing deal that was pulled a few months back on a pricing error and he assured me it is legit but very few cars on the deal and it was only on 2 years.

You can still change colour and options for a short while as said above - I went with Carbon Black, Cognac leather, Privacy Glass and Crystal Clarity (wife wants it lol).

I really did want to be brave though and get Sunset Organge with the black grille, black wheels etc but chickened out. Still considering it!

For a £70k+ car? How many months, what's the catch?!

24 months and no catch as yet lol. Finance been accepted already for some people and assured its a genuine price. But as always with these things, its a waiting game for a bit to be 100% sure there are no surprises.

No you can get ivory and cognac as well as black. Ivory would be nice with the barca blue

Update from gateway from what I've been told there's quite a few applications all at different stages some being accepted others having been accepted and then refused and some that are pending being accepted...all of these pending deals are going to be sitting in limbo until the finance company decide either way what they are doing with regards to honourin these applications Gateway said they managed to do it once before with an Evoque deal last year with the same lender but will know for sure tomorrow

Yeah had a similar conversation just now. Could well be a lottery! My paperwork was in at around 11am today but I have not had a response on the credit check yet so I am no doubt in the 50/50 bucket.

On a side note the lady who emailed me back to confirm receipt of my finance application was called Jodie Juggins. Maybe I have the mind of a young teenager but...

Do we have any rights or can they just come back and say “sorry pricing error”?

This is my first time leasing so not acquainted with the law and rights regarding leasing

I had also placed an order with leasing options and binned it off this morning Haha. This looks a dead deal now.

Leasing options seemed ok 48 hrs ago now it seems pants!
Central Leasing did this on 840i cabs a few months back. Does make you wonder how this happens.

I justs had an email back from Matt to say they are still pushing the finance company for more and discussion remain ongoing over the afternoon.

Still of the mindset it is pretty much a no and if a yes its a bonus.

If its a no then I will have been burned by this and the Central Leasing 8 series convertible deal from the back end of last year.

I wouldn't lose hope yet. My email came directly from the agent I dealt with. Your agent has probably not got around to it yet.

Ahhh ok - thats something as I know Daniel Poole is out of the office which is why I dropped Matt an email. To be fair G2L do seem to be doing what they can and there is more transparency here than I saw with Central.

UPDATE......

Hi Simon,

Sorry, yes we have just had the good news, the deal is going ahead, we’ve just had to jump through a few more hoops.

This will take about 24 hours to sort out but rest assured the deal has been honoured, its now down to acceptance on the finance side of things.

This is for 10k per annum on 2 years. It isnt on the website I was emailed it I think because I had a car through them not long ago and its been sent out on a mailer first before going out to a wider audience.

Good luck all, i've never had much luck with too good to be true deals but i'm buzzing for this one, Barcelona Blue looks gorgeous on it, now will it fit in my garage...

I have had some belting deals and thought my luck had ran out; had a Golf R with options for £207, a Polo GTI for £134 and two S5's with my latest one at £374 a month with £4k of options.
The colour choices are a bit disappointing to me and im glad there is a (very) small window to change.
