Need advice on remap on a 2000 320I E46 auto

Hi lads I've recently just bought a 2000 bmw 320 I e46 auto, and I'm just wondering if I should remap it. I know there's not lots of power gains and more responsive but I'm just wondering if it will bring me problems down the line? Its only on 81 thou and bought from my old man who really does take car of his cars. Any advice would be much appreciated cheers laaaads.

Yeah i thought that, but I wouldnt be letting insurance know as I'm a careful driver lol. And it does drink petrol just want it more responsive and maybe a little more mpg. But as long as it won't bring problems to the gearbox I should be fine, thank you mate.
