BMW series 1 116i

Iam thinking of buying a BMW series 1 116 59 plate i the model iam looking at is the 2.0 sport, but have seen on the spec sheet and the 1.6 has more horse power and torque and quicker to 0 -60 than the 2.0 is there a reason for this . How do the engine's compare is one more reliable than the other thank you

Thanks for the quick answer the turbo makes sense please could you tell what you mean by n/a on the 2l and is the 1.6 worth waiting for on the sport or are the 2l ok thanks Mark

Hi thank you very much this is why I asked the question i had heard few things about the earlier 1 series I think I will stay with what I have got for the moment. I have a 318i had a few problems with it a missfire from number one injector . Did find out that I had calipers stuck on three wheels do you no if this could of coursed this problem now gone as calipers have been replaced could it of been to much fuel into the engine thanks Mark

Thank you I have been reading up on the 116 and most articles tell you they are quite slow for the size of car
