F31 with 2years warranty left updating I drive problem

Hi guys wondering if you can help me I’ve got a 320d m sport touring at 47k miles with 2 years warranty left and I’ve had a major service done today by my dads garage (vat registered) and bought the parts from bmw main dealer so I have the receipt which is in line with bmw warranty rules but we’ve got an issue my dad hasn’t got the software to update the service history on I drive is this a problem with warranty not being on I drive? Also I’ve noticed other bmw specialists update the bmw data base of a service being done does this need to be done to be in line with warranty rules? Very confused thanks In advance

Thanks for the reply, so I should be fine with receipt for parts off BMW Williams and a Labour receipt off my dad for conducting the work even though it says £0. So say if worse comes to worse and my engine blows up they’d accept Parts and Labour receipts as proof. I think I’ll want to update the I drive out of a ocd habit to keep my car up to date I’ve reset all service miles to 18k or two years which ever comes first on the cars dash board which was quite easy
