Does any one know if it is possible to turbo charge a 2 litre, 6 cylinder, 24 valve, M52 engine which i have in my car as i want more power but dont want to sell my car and go the usual M3 route.

Thanks for that.I think its going to cost loads for a turbo.But i like the idea of a v8 DAN.

This is the information that Dom emailed me.... hope its helpful for u!!!!

Conversion was done by a company called Ultima Cars based near Cheltenham. Apparently it cost 11k in total, as it has Schnitzer bits on it as well, and an original M3 bodykit and wheels. Originally the car was a 325i coupe, approx 1994 model year, which had been converted with an M3 engine (E36 286bhp pre Vanos). Original owner just fancied a V8 in it...

It is a tight squeeze in the engine bay - it only just fits. That said, it works beautifully, just like a production BMW. The engine is mated to a 535i gearbox but the diff is quite low geared, feels like it is out of a 316! This gives it 'sprint' gearing, ie shit fuel consumption and noisy cruising, but it is quite nippy up to 130!
