Or in fact any heavy weight cruiser; how do they handle in central London traffic jams and narrow roads etc

I can appreciate it nowhere near as nimble and larger than other bikes - is this an issues filtering around traffic and just general ability to get a move on in a congested road (or do you just act like a car and lane hog)

Im in love with the diavel and potentially could pick one up soon bounce

A diavel will be awesome

remember to go somewhere and practice your slow speed skills too...full lock U-turns with the pegs scraping are cool but possibly even cooler on a diavel with a rider having a "no fks given" look on his face
thanks for the advice, im set on getting one
since I just passed my mod 2 yesterday I will indeed need some skill practice smile

on another topic, few people telling me not to buy this as a first bike - I dont see how its more dangerous than a 600 r6 for example (infact safer as I plan to cruise around) and had my few attempts at dropping bikes so not to worried about that either

Diavel should be just fine for the city.

Just make sure you fit a Termignoni exhaust... let the sound out.
Thanks for advice - exhaust shopping to come soon smile

I found the bike and planned to pick it up tomorrow from a private sale, I just ran a quick background check and it returned with adverse data. Finance type 9 from black horse. Should I be worried about this? not sure what to do next, can I call up black horse to find out the situation before buying ?

The seller might be paying off the outstanding finance with the proceeds from the sale.
so I guess I ask the seller to put in writing that he takes full responsibility for the outstanding finance? would you be comfortable with that alone ?

re finance, we agreed I would take over it or he settles it on the spot so im not so anxious anymore, infact he told me he is a magistrate also. I hope the seller is on the forum as hes a keen biker

Wow, this bike ... it my first big bike so cant compare to others, but it really does feel special
power delivery seems insane and ive got no problem with it smile
only tried half throttle so far which nearly threw me off - just wasnt expecting this type of performance, what a machine!

Its already so loud, cant imagine it much louder ... (at the moment smile

Went out for a run with a friend in a 600bhp+ GTR - did some 3rd gear runs and upwards, the Diavel was faster every time until I would back down (should be fair to say though he wasn't using rolling launch control

Im sure every new rider experiences this, but pinning the throttle in 2nd gear and the front jumps around and gets really light, wow, im sure if I fully committed it would easily lift, a scary yet such an exciting prospect for a new rider like myself

Re my main concern, the size, its not really seeming to be a issue, the mirrors are at the perfect height to go over low cars and under high cars, didn't have the urge to filter like I did on my 125, but defiantly was making progress (including todays rush hour smile

Lastly, Ive just got of the bike now after riding for 3-4 hours, the lower back of my neck is KILLING, common problem holding on at these warp 10 speeds or just bad riding posture?
