Passed my Mod2 yesterday, and I feel very chuffed with myself.

Took my theory on the 9th March, few lessons, and I passed yesterday (24th April), so I'm ready to go.

I've put a deposit down on a Ducati Monster 821 Dark, which I'm collecting on Saturday.

It's going to be a very long week.

I've already got my stabilisers out and cleaned them up biggrin

Thanks chaps.

I've been learning on an XJ6, so I'm intrigued to see how different it feels.

I chose the Monster based on how it fits (I'm a bit shorter), and how I liked the riding position. I also wanted an interesting naked (to me), so this seemed to tick the boxes.

I'm definitely super safety conscious, so won't be looking to set any lap records anywhere, I'm just after the biker 'feeling'. I've got nothing to prove to nobody (including myself), so I'll just take in the noise, smells, and feeling of it all.

My car gives me my speed thrills (C63), but I'm sure this will feel pretty brisk!

I've already inquired about further advanced rider training, and he recommended to wait 2000 miles til I book it. So I will probably give it a few months and look to get it booked.

Monster is always nice...but I fear you will want something with a bit more pep pretty soon.
If I were you I'd cancel and go for Monster 1200.
I'll be wanting more than 112hp!?

Christ, I'll see how I go with what I've got... I'm not looking to be a speed demon anyway.
