My girlfriend recently completed her CBT (twist and go only) and is currently riding a 125cc scooter.

She is in her 40's and has held a car licence since turning 17.

I'm a little unsure as to whether or not she had to ride with L plates? Or because of her age and the length of time she has held a driving licence, there is no legal requirement to?

Yes she does need to.

If it was a 50cc it would be classed as a moped which she would have full entitlement for on her car licence given when she passed, so wouldn't need to.
That's where I got confused.
I'd read about not having to display them for a moped, but wasn't 100% if it applied to other size scooters too.
