Info here:
https://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/

Dates: 18th - 26th Nov

I know many will say it's pricey or not worth going but for me it's a chance to look at lots of bikes and maybe buy something a bit cheaper. I have over the years got a bargain or 2. But not always cheap I agree.

I'm going with about 4 mates and meeting up with a few more at the show on the 23rd Nov Thurs.

Anyone going

Nearly twenty quid to get in? They're having a laugh.
same as the classic a few weeks before i'm going to.

As i said not cheap but a good day out when you have lots of mates wanting to go.

Does it make a difference if you ride or drive? Does driving make it a pain to park?
or cheaper if you pay before about £12

Like me if your going with 3-4 others it's even cheaper and easier to take things home if you buy anything

Not quite sure why people get on such a downer regards the show, we just view it as a boys day out to have a laugh, share some banter and pick up the odd (and yes they do exist) bargain .... its not expensive really, no more so than a mornings fuel and a breakfast on a sunday ride out ......
I simply commented 'nah'. Not a downer just one of two choices that form the answer to the question posed by the bike show fanboy
Not aimed at you or anyone in particular fella, just remember last years thread descended the same way ....

You at Brands on Sunday ???
and why i posted what i did in my opening post.

If you don't want to go, dont find it worthwhile that's fine, but i've always found it to be a good day out smile

again not aimed at anyone in this post but like above I also remember starting this post for the 2016 and had so many negative posts again why i posted what i did in my first post.

I've always been on the school if I have nothing positive to say it's not worth my time posting smile

Never mind that Tourer I thought you were getting a trackbike?

Or get the Tourer and track the H2 - you've finally seen (non) sense?!
Track bike I am looking at. But if I only use it 2-4 times I want it road ready or just hire a track bike.

In no rush so looking about

£15 parking is a mickey take! Surely the Station car park is cheaper than that, even the airport must be?
It's £12 on the day and £10 in advance.
Plus £12 or £15 for all day parking is not bad I think at all. I was in Bath yesterday and the council run car parks what £4.70 for 3 hours. So the £12 I prepaid for any time between 9AM and 5-6 PM is not bad. Even better when your taking 5 others in my car and all will offer a few ££ for parking.

Just got back from the show......£25 to get in, not the “nearly twenty” someone mentioned earlier.
I Paid last month for 3 of us and was £21 each so how's that not nearly twenty. it's closer to £20 then £25?

Well I paid yesterday and it was £25, which is not ‘nearly 20’, so, what is your point again?? People don’t say ‘nearly 20’ if it is over 20, do they?

Edited by King Herald on Wednesday 22 November 14:15
my point is very simple.

Pay beforehand and get it closer to £20. And seen if I posted in this thread nearly £20 apart from quote thread above. Nope not me

Pay during event & pay more.

If you don't want to pay more then don't go, or pay earlier.

Simple really

It's a show.

There was loads on, plenty to do. https://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/features/
Plus then the 'showroom'.

I really don't understand the fuss in here. The information for what is on is all readily available.
As per normal and why I asked in my opening post on this thread.

lets not grumble. if you don't like the show fine, if you feel it's expensive don't go. Not hard really

But seems many threads go the same way. People going to a event just to grumble.

But Hay who gives a toss. Not me

had a cracking day yesterday. Spent most of the day and did not leave until 4:30. got there at 10. was busy'ish. ideal to go on a weekday. ended up going with 6 others and meeting up with another 6 who loved the day. lots to see and we all had a blast.
Some lovely bikes to see, bought a few things. Spent a while asking about trips to the US for next Oct

Makes the day better when you go with friends.
