Perfect, thanks guys! smile

Whats the easiest way to tell between the frames? Was there an overall facelift to the bike?

Passed my Mod 2 first go this afternoon with 5 faults.

Now to find something in the next month or so, any recommendations weighing a couple of hours if Windsor would be appreciated.

Thoughts? Would prefer the red and blue scheme to be honest but looks quite tidy?

I'd try and get an injection model, ally frame and a bit more modern. Beyond self inflicted damage and lack of proper maintenance mine has been fine
Apart from the year, is there an easy physical difference?

Both of those bikes are roughly £1k overpriced. Go for the injection model - worth it.
I can’t find similar for a grand less?

It’s kinda like the golf of the bike world I think ?

SO after checking eBay and Autotrader I thought I would have a look on Gumtree, found this which the picture is taken about 5 mins from my house...

Looks quite clean? and in a preferred colour scheme.

Looks tidy and a good advert having scanned over it.

My missus bought a 2000 X registered version last year for £1450 IIRC but with loads of paperwork and recent discs with a few spares & a topbox.

It seems about on the money price wise and definitely worth a view if nothing else being as it's so close to you.

I enjoy riding her bike when I get chance, a very good bike by all accounts.
Cool, well there is the hole travel cost too so it being down the road is handy and looks clean, i've text and asked for the reg so i can HPI it and do a MOT history check too.

Seeing the bike Saturday morning hopefully.

I have found an old advert for the bike from google, but when you click through the link doesn’t work, anyone know a way to recover it/see the ad somehow?

Viewing booked for 10.30am tomorrow, guy wants to meet at the big Sainsburys down the road from his, i said that all very well but L'm not interested if its a goer and we aren't at his house!

So that's 1 alarm bell, hopefully just a false alarm though.

Thats what I thought, no harm its 10 mins from my house. It'll be when the V5 is registered miles away I'll know I've wasted a morning.

I hope hes just over cautious.

Bought the gumtree bike. Good paperwork, nice guy, paid £1,550 for it and £197 to insure it on a classic policy!

Got 2 keys, original exhaust and a disk lock thrown in, well chuffed!

I’ll get some pics up tomorrow, only thing that’s needs sorting is relays for the indicators I’ve been told by a mate? Easy enough job I’ve been told just need to find the bits?
