I've been reading PH for years but never subscribed, currently riding a 2015 BMW R1200RS and looking for a more sporty tyre than the Roadtec 01s I have at the moment..

I've read a lot about the M7RR and there's a very good thread on here actually extolling its virtues, but I wondered if anybody had direct experience of both tyres ? I have previously quite liked the feel of a Michelin 2CT but the PR4 is far too touring oriented, I'd like something more sporty, pointy but equally safe in the rain.

Usage is always spring/summer/autumn in mainly good weather but it rains in the UK so it needs to perform well at speed in the rain too.

Just looking for comments really, any experience of both of these tyres.

Thanks for all the comments, OCD, how is the RS in wet but warm roads ? All tyres are pretty much OK on the road in the dry but wet conditions does separate the pack.

I've never been very happy with Bridgestone tyres, they were OEM fitment on some bikes, Kawasaki's in particular and they always felt wooden and lacking in feel but still gripped reasonably well. Not inspiring but probably perfectly good. I'm looking for feel, a confidence inspiring tyre.

The boxer twin only has 120ish bhp so it's never going to stretch a tyre in the dry, anything would be fine, but in the wet I'd like to know it's going to remain grippy but more importantly still give good feel and feedback.
