Another damn what bike, i know

Budget really is variable... for the right bike i can stretch. The Super leggera and FE are just too pricey unfortunately

The super-mids i have looked at are the Ducati 959 and MV F3 800, both look fantastic, have more than enough power for the track and tick the right boxes, exotic, quirky and fast.

There are also a couple of 1199s nearby a 2013s tricolore, and a 2016 r that is incredible

The 13 1199s is nearly half the price, but is it less of a bike?
The 2016 1199r just looks mega, it's intimidating, and looks like it's doing 100mph sitting still but it is a lot of cash and is straight into v4s money.
But, the v4, just isn't doing it for me.

I feel the sensible option is along the lines of a new R1/s1000rr.. but i don't like the looks of either

Bike will be used on the track, taken around the mountains the odd gentle cruise and very little town work.

Anyone with any real world ideas on how these bikes perform and importantly, are you happy with the bike, any regrets at all, and what would you get if you had the choice?

Thanks Steeler, I'll give the magazine review a look.

The Fireblade and the s1000rr appeal to the logical side of me, both very capable, and the bmw especially i found super easy to ride.
But I much prefer the Italian stuff, albeit i would probably go quicker on the other stuff around a track, But they don't give me that special wow factor.
