Push bike across Hammersmith bridge?

Starting a new job in a few days time in Shepherds Bush area - when I previously worked near there I rode in from the sticks via the A3 quite a lot and used H'smith Bridge. I know it's now closed to motor vehicles, but have people seen others pushing scooters/m'bikes across it? Prob a 5 min faff but still quicker than going via Putney Bridge I would have thought, esp with the reduction in traffic in Roehampton/Castelnau...
That all makes sense. I know someone who got done for drink driving because he went to go sleep in his car after a house party. Was woken up by a police officer at 6am and breathalysed. Mistake he made was not leaving his keys in the house from what I heard.
Hammersmith bridge is different though, if they've said that you can push a motorbike across, that's got to be okay. If they've then changed their mind, then clearly you can't anymore.
