Fausto Gresini has sadly passed away after a long battle with covid.

News came out last night that he was gone but was denied by the team and Fausto's son but sadly this morning the team have confirmed it on Twitter.

A big loss to the sport and no doubt to his family. RIP Fausto.

Very sad, especially to pass from this awful disease.

Was a very good rider and world champion, but perhaps an even better team owner, Lord knows the talent he has handled over many years.

only hope the team carries on.

The team and his own son have confirmed it.

There was confusion on Monday or Tuesday evening and rumours went round which were denied but then his death was confirmed the following morning.

I found the news very sad, not simply because he has died, but for the fact that he spent two months struggling so much. Horrible for him and for his family.

I hope arrangements are in place for the team.
