CBT done next stop DAS

Hi all I am a long time lurker in this corner of Pistonheads and have just completed my CBT. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would and I am now going to complete the DAS.

A few newbie questions if I may. How long on average does it take to pass your Mod 1 & 2? I've read that Mod 1 tends to be the harder of the two but as there is only a couple of additional bits over CBT I am not too worried about this. Also, is it worth having a 125 whilst doing DAS training? I'm in two minds about this with the price of 125's at the moment. This weekends weather doesn't help, I'd love to be out there getting some miles under my belt.

Any advice gratefully received and hopefully in the fullness of time I will be able to contribute to this great forum as well.

Thanks. I feel comfortable heading straight to DAS and the instructor on the CBT said he wouldn't have any concerns on taking us out on a big bike straight away either so that was reassuring.

How long did it take you to complete the DAS?

Thanks for all the responses. The school I did my CBT with reckon they are working on a 6 week wait for tests at the moment so not too bad. I have already done my theory and hazard perception so bo need to worry about getting that in. My biggest constraint will be time away from work but I reckon I can get around that.

Just to bring this topic up to date, I passed my mod 2 today at the first attempt. Really happy with the result and have a CBR 650f being delivered on Monday. This weekend is going to feel like a long one!!

I'm looking forward to many adventures and being able to contribute to the pictures thread.

That was quick. My mod 1 is on Monday and most likely will be wet on that day. Even though I did a mock up test a few times I'm still stressed out.

Yeah I got quite lucky with my school. I did my mod 1 last week then managed to get mod 2 this week. I didn't have too much time to stress about it as I only found out last Friday that the mod 2 was today which was good. Hope your mod 1 goes well. It is probably harder than the mod 2 just because it is unnatural if that makes sense. Good luck.

Nice one, congrats. New/first bike day for me today. It's just been delivered. I'm now sat at work counting down the minutes. It's going to be a long afternoon.
