Is "The Nod" Still a Thing?

Just got back on 2 wheels after a long interlude.
30 years ago when I 1st started riding a big bike there was a customary nod towards a fellow biker when encountered on the road, but this time around on my daily ride around London/South Essex it doesn't happen. However, went for a blast around Hertfordshire on Sunday, and every biking brethren gave me the nod which reminded me of the old days.
