Planning to go this year with the Mrs and our 6yr old daughter. Will be her first motorsport event, and I'm thinking having a nice seat will be beneficial. I've always gone General Admission before.

Any recommendations as to which stand to book? We'll only go on race day if that makes a difference.

Your house, better value and you can see everything and not get treated like a prisoner as you will at Silverstone!

If you're going in a car. Take a LOT of entertainment for the child as you won't be out the car park for hours. In fact I'd not even bother going unless it was on a bike.
Hmmm that doesn't sound so great. I went on the bike before. Perhaps we'll do a BSB round instead.

Was considering doing the MotoGP on my own on the bike again.

BSB we will go to Brands Hatch over Silverstone (it's my other 'local' track, along with Thruxton), or further afield and make a trip out of it. I'm thinking Cadwell or Donington.

The main draw of Silverstone for me is to witness MotoGP machinery and riders in action. It's only 50miles from me so seems a shame not to go every now and again. I know it's not the greatest for spectators.
