Has anyone ridden the new ZZR-1400 yet? I'm sure it's quite an animal. However I've narrowed my next bike choice down to 'Busa, the ZZR 14 and cheese to the previous chalk - a Honda CB1300S.

Both the ZZR and the CB can be equipped with ABS breaks which has got to be a good idea. What's important is the pillion ability of these three as I'm planning a big trip with the mrs. The ZZR looks like its got a decent pillion seat but I just can't tell without us both sitting on it. Anyone out there got any experience of this?

I know the Busa's is very good for the type of bike and the CB's looks positively plush. If the ZX12 had decent aft quarters I'd be getting another one of those. Utterly brilliant bike.

interesting.

you know, there is this thing where you're made to feel obliged to buy the latest litre sports bike. Don't get me wrong, I love them all and have owned an R1 and a Gixer 'thou in my time. However as a friend of mine says 'there's just something about big bikes' and I share that. There is something about big bikes.

The ZX12 was a great compromise for me as it was just a scaled up sports bike and suited my bigger than a japanese jockey western frame. Pictures of me riding my R1, proud as I am of them, do make me look like I'm riding a mini moto! I personally found the ZX12 great round a track and with me riding, quicker than the Gixxer over a lap of a fast circuit.

I'd get another one if it had a good pillion seat. But it doesn't and it sounds like the big ZZR 14 is a good option, a real all-rounder that can blast continents, take on and beat any sportscar it meets and do a few laps of a circuit too.

honestly I'd love to (try one that is). I just can't go german, let alone a beemer. More to the point I can't get enough of the rice burners.
