Skip is currently working on the possibility of an F1 car drive, maybe a tie in with the DC McLaren Mercedes passenger F1 car- don't know at this stage about how this will happen, maybe a prize or raffle-type offer to all.........I'll let you know how this part develops. Currently on offer are: "Visit of the track of Le Mans 24 hours. Visit or our racing car factory, near Marseille (south of France). Visit of the famous Paul Ricard F1 test track (situated at 1 km of
our factory)
. Racing School on this track (Viper Days Event?!)
. Various other hospitality"

Obviously, there's a few miles between La Sarthe & Marseilles (Paul Ricard), but if Viper owners want to drive on them both, this can also be sorted quite easily (Le Mans will be a reduced circuit, it's only open as a racetrack at certain times of year, public road the remainder).
Please keep the replies coming- it's a good guage for us to see exactly what need organising.

Oreca have offered 2x F1 cars for all @ Paul Ricard, Marseilles! There will also be many race-prepared Vipers available too.........Fantastic- all we have to do is figure out how we are going to get the people interested to form an orderly queue! Sorry, but people of large frame will not fit in, so that's me off the list for a start! Skip is still working at the McLaren Mercedes angle- the car is available, they are just trying to find a F1 driver available to give the rides.
One thing though- people that wish to drive will possibly need a Competitors License (still checking this part), are they are easy to get? Maybe Paul or somebody here can point us all in the right direction????????????? Please keep the replies coming.

Viper, thanks for the question.......I've got the major parts (apart from the side sills) boxed up in the US awaiting shiping. I fancy the Autoform "Smoothie" type to replace the damaged one's I've got here, but am not too sure about the fit- I've read conflicting reports on both .com & .org sites about them, so may investigate getting my sills looked at by a bodywork speciallist in the UK to see if they can be repaired before I take the plunge and spend vast money on some Fibreglass ones (or Ali if my budget stretches) from JonB.
After that, there will be "the odd bit" that's missing from the front of the car (up to the radiator is missing, but I've got the facia waiting to be shipped)and then I'll be looking for expert advise & mechanical assistance so I can get the car ready for VDEV2003......but man the dealers are asking for stupid money to do the work- it would be cheaper to fly an expert from the US for a couple of weeks!

Please read the thread "VDEV2003 Postponed".
This postponement will also affect the opportunity to visit Oreca & Paul Ricard, but hopefully if all goes well for 2004, we shall attempt to include something as planned for 2003.
