Just about sorted the wiring! It's sitting on the bench working. (Cheers Brucie!)

Does this unit have an Auxiliary output (Im guessing not as it only has 1 Button.)

The central locking is Positive Pulse Lock and Unlock, is the easiest solution to use 2x5 Pin relays to swap the polarity for Lock/Unlock on the solenoids?

So if I bin the standard locking/alarm unit and identify the locking wires - job done?!?!?

All I can do at the moment is to power 2 wires from one of the solenoids and this works them both, swapping polarity for lock/unlock.

I assume the button in the centre knob just gives a positive pulse each time you press it?

Ordered, thanks for that.

I assume motor 1/motor 2 are the 2 wires to one motor, paralled to the other?

How does the button in the middle differenciate between lock and unlock if it is a single pulse?

Yep, Just use the button to lock, open the door to unlock! :-)

I was curious, thought I read somewhere press once to lock, press again to unlock, but I have been doing far to much reading lately!

Thanks again.

Do you know how the courtesy light switches unlock the solenoids? They bring the light on with a -ve, but the locking requires a +ve!

My old CDL/Alarm unit - for the bin!

The Meta was with the car in a box! Infact, lots of the car was in boxes!

I don't have the wiring diagram from the Meta, but having it on the bench testing, it appears to be +ve, and I don't know how to change it, but no doubt can find out!

I've yet to figure the actual solenoid wiring apart from flicking the power around to lock unlock, one has 4 wires, I need to trace them out.

Didn't realise they were -ve locking

I have just tested them on the bench and they pulse live on arm disarm, only the live/ ground is connected on the alarm, am I reading my results incorrectly?

Nothing at the moment, just used a test lamp to see what did what when it was powered up and armed/disarmed.

I know on alarms you can program them to be either +ve or -ve, and on others if you take a certain wire to +ve or -ve it changes the locking polarity.

I hoping the relay will replace the existing module, including getting the centre button working. Then the Meta can be fitted.

Aha, the yell/blue + yell/red have been taken to live, which makes you correct sir, move this to -ve and it should lock -ve, result! Thanks. Wonder why they had it positive, since the Chim is -ve locking! If the postman hurry's up with my relay I can try to sort the rest of it!

Because of the internal relays. Understood.

Thanks
