Bugger! I've managed to buckle a front wheel on my 4 litre Chimaera.

Garage says 15" 4-stud Chimaera wheels are no longer available. They're suggesting that I get a couple of rears, i.e. 16", and put them on the front, so I'll have 16s all round.

I've posted an ad in the classifieds to see if anyone has a wheel for sale, but given Thirsty's apparent lack of success, I may need to do as the garage suggests.

Question is, does it seem a reasonable thing to do? I have 225/50/16 on the back and the fronts were 205/55/15. Should I therefore be looking at 205/50/16 on the front now? Will a 205 fit a 16" wheel?

Lots of questions, I'm afraid. Obviously, my ideal resolution would be a replacement 15" wheel, but failing that, your advice will be much appreciated.

Alex,

Life saver!!!

Found their contact details on the web. The guy went out into the yard, located a wheel, emailed me a photo and I've ordered it. Will be with me Mon/Tue next week. Top service.

Very many thanks for posting - I wasn't overly keen on the 16" front idea, but it would have been better than nothing.

The joy of PistonHeads!

Regards,

Paul.

PS - What a business to be in, though. Their website is really quite depressing!

Thirsty,

Would suggest posting on the "Wanted" section of this site.

I've had two replies already and I only stuck the ad on last night!

Cheers,

Paul.

PS - Thanks to those who have replied. Very much appreciated. I will remove the ad when I get home tonight - can't do it from work, because the email address is different - sorry!
