Removed the front wishbones this weekend from the car for refurb but it seems I have some nylon thrust washers missing. All bolts were very tight so they hadn't fallen out.

I've done some searching and it appears they should be present whenever a bush is bolted to the chassis. However, the lower rear bush didn't have any fitted. Were they missing or is this normal? I only have 12 instead of the expected 16. Note to self: Take close up photos before starting. frown

The upper rear wishbone does not appear to have any fitted at all. This may be because the front upper bolt also secures the top of the rear shock absorber but the upper rear bolt does not have any fitted either or where the upper rear wishbone bolts to the upright.

I'm fairly sure it was the lower rear bush where they weren't fitted because the bolt goes into the outrigger just before it joins the chassis rail and so has no flange to bolt against.

I was under the impression they help reduce the possibility of bush 'creep' under load but I suppose if the outer bush sleeve moves, the inner rubber and so the bush has had it anyway (!), so I'm inclined to agree with you that they probably don't do much.

SC Power sell entire kits of them though for front and back so there must be a demand.
