I wonder could anyone tell me if the torque settings for a 1995 3.9 engine are the same as below, particularly the main and conrod bearing caps.
Thanks in advance.

Picture of the cam and main/big end bearings removed today at 78000 miles. Plenty of wear on the big ends, cam does not look too bad.
Crank is fine.

The wear is possibly due to the fact our cars are only used now and again, it’s the only explanation I can think of.
I’m thinking about using a higher quality oil when it’s all done changed once a year, something like this.

Cam looks to have done really well as there was definetly no history of it being changed and only 2 owners before Me. Surprised at the big ends but at least you've caught it in time.
I thought you were going the 4.5 route Now?

Decided against the 4.5 route as i could not justify spending the money. I have had the heads done to stage 3, improved the induction and will fit a new MC1 cam.
Didn't intend to pull the block but im glad I did.

This is the reason why I always advise potential boosters to strip and check the engine before fitting their supercharger or turbo. scratchchin
Yes id agree, I almost went for the SC kit and was going to just bolt it on after compression tests were confirmed good.

No pockets and its one of the what id call the interim engines (3.9), so no cross bolting but wider main bearing caps that could be cross bolted.
