Starting my body off chassis refurb. I won't know what needs doing fully until the bodies off, but looking at from underneath and using my Aldi endoscope, it appears in very good order.

Plan is to sand blast the wishbines and chassis, then paint in a product call Buzzweld, injecting any cavities along the way. I'm quite tempted to spray the wishbines red.

As part of the chassis refurb I'll be putting a couple braces in to bolt the seats to.

Suspension: Bilstein Tuscon 2 spec, standard compound bushes replacing ball joints where necessary.

New brakes: carbon Lorraine pads and grooved disks ( chriogenically treated jobbies) braided hoses and 5.1

Clive Ford y piece and decatting the manifolds.

V8 developments bottom end freshen up, including balancing, top hat and lightened flywheel. One of their cams, not sure which yet???
GEMS ecu along with everything to go with it.

Depending on my spend up to this point, I'd like to get v8d's top end, BV heads, matched manifolds, 45mm trumpets and 72mm plenum.

Anything else worth doing?

Body wise; I've a mk3 blended head light kit to fit to go with my LED bulbs. Just the lower spot lights to add into the bumper after that.

It's all about improving and upgrading for use mostly on the road, with 2-3 track days a year and maybe a hill climb or two.

I'VE been collecting parts for awhile now, but am I missing anything that might help building my Chimaera 450 v2.1???

Thanks for the heads up on the act manifolds. As for the Clive Ford exhaust manifolds, his equal length ones look great, but....very expensive and I've already got his y piece to go on. I think it's been sitting in the garage a year now waiting for this time to come! Lol

That's right, a clutch. I had planned on one so as it could get balanced along with the flywheel, just not sure about make yet. I'm not looking for a super heavy duty one, just something that'll handle a reasonably modest power out put.

Roller rockers are another thing potentially on my list when doing the heads. Yella Terra seem to offer a couple otions.
Cam wise I guess something hydraulic, probably a stealth, but I've not spoken to Rob at v8d 's about them as yet, but any suggestions are always welcome.

Knock sensors - definitely, along with gems bigger and and wide band lamdas. I've already got a new ecu off Mark Adams.

Drop links - already got at set of legend for my standard roll bars and plan to keep it simple as I know is never bother adjusting, tense why I ended up with the Bilstein Tuscon stuff. I'd bought adjustable protects but the penny dropped that is rather that they'd never get changed!

Clutch - I'm very much open to suggestions on that one. Price will be a factor, but I'd rather do it right first time. McLeon option John, did that take much fitting and how does it compare price wise if I may ask?

I've already got an Anderson under the bonnet and I don't really need the extra room on that side, but good suggestion.

Thanks John, I'll give him a ring.

As for the ecu; I bought it as a new old stock from Mark. I figured it was a few quid dearer than an emerald, but this came without the need to rolling road tune it. :-)
