T5 gearbox noise

Would anyone have had a noise (it's like a wheel rubbing on the body) when in 1st?. Both when pulling away and under engine breaking. Changes in frequency as speed increases. Nothing in any other gear + nothing with clutch depressed + nothing in neutral. G box had its annual oil CX 6 weeks ago. It was my understanding that 5th was the only potential weak spot with this box. Any pointers most welcome.

Does anyone have access to a BTR Workshop manual? After this mornings investigation I'm sure its a synchro bearing that's goosed.

All this sun has cooked my brain. T5 not BTR diff.

This mornings drive did reveal the noise in 2nd + possibly third. Its defiantly a gearbox fault. Dropped the oil 3 days ago. Clear with no large debris identified, nothing on the mag chip either. Can anyone recommend a O/haul company or facility?
