Nope.
Best solution or at least the tidiest. If they work on landies, they’ll work on yours that lives in the garage biggrin I’ve washed my car every week for 2 odd years when using the car daily and I used a lot of water. Easy to get replaced etc I even use the hose to wash off my stainless mesh and it’s alwys fired up instantly winter or summer.

Do you wanna see a pic :hehe,,,, well here’s one anyway biggrin

You can’t see them anyway laugh
It’s a fit and forget and I expect them to last 10 years maybe.
The ones that fit in between the front of the plenum and exhaust look st if you ask me. This is just lovely jubbly thumbup
I'm going off the packs that mount around the side / front of the plenom with the power steering Rez will need moving
So it's to the rear with them as long as they fit with my new stepper

Yes it’s after I fitted an Ipso oil pressure sender and wanted to be sure of the readings on the cars gauge.

I reckon behind the engine they get less heat effected. That pic is before I used some cheap dividers so they are now neater.
If they do the job as they are meant to were talking 50,000 miles of use. Hiding them away seems like a good idea to me.
Obviously if one breaks down or whatever the Plenum has to come off but I’m not expecting that for years if not decades!
The coils are quite low down so your new stepper should fit easily enough. Can’t Joolz do this without a stepper, fkings things are st and pointless on these engines.
Not a oe steeper

Its a long old haul but worth it in the end. I’m starting to think rigger replacent although I’d rather do a full body off once done will be ace and removes the last few question marks as an owner.
I might go for headlight covers as in MK3 if I go that far, faster biggrin
Riggers are getting done as a 6” lift as I haven’t got th 10k to blow on a full chassis job at the moment

And the ones in Grease were not much better
All in I was close to £200

The ngk RR £130 all in
