Mallory Distributor - 3 wires, I only have 2
Discussion
My cars not running right, see other post lol
So I thought I'd upgrade my ignition system, I bought a new Bosch Coil (well 2 by mistake - so if you want a brand new Bosch coil I have one £35 + postage, which is cheap) anyway. I'm guessing these with have an internal ballast resistor.
bought a Mallory distributor but it has 3 wires that come out of the side, I only have 2 on mine. Do you know what the 3rd is for? Ballast resistor/earth/something else?

Right, almost done it. My problem (actually my brain :-D) was trying to rewire the distributor to my ignition amplifier, but I believe the Mallory has it built in.
RPi sell a Mallory distributor kit that comprises of: Distributor/Coil/ballast resistor.
I've just bought a new Bosch coil Standard part - PRC6574)
My question is: does this coil have an internal ballast resistor or do I need to buy one?
The cars in bits off the road so if you could help that would be great, cheers.
