I have been asked to source an XJS 3.6/4.0 convertible for a family member in South Africa. Anybody have any idea where I might look for a solid example and how much cash will be required?

There are quite a lot of not so good ones around, you would need to pay 12000 pluss for a very good 4.0 and about 20+ for a low milage celebration. Be carefull of very very low mileage, as these cars do need to be used. The best convertible I have seen recently is a rare 6.0 V12 in absolutly immaculate condition, low milage and full history. It is about 1994 I think, so just pre celebration. I have to say, that when I was looking for mine, I wanted a pre facelift car, and looked at lots of before finding my V12, I did not see any good 3.6's. If you give me a few more details,Like how much you want to spend, I can point you in the direction.

Regards

Bob

Thanks Bob. The person in question asked me to try to find him something for no tmore than £5k, but I know that he'll loosen his purse strings if I come up with something special. He doesn't want a V12.

With that sort of budget, you will get a convertible to spend $00000000 on, best start looking at Cabriolet 3.6 XJ-Sc's

Is there such a thing as a solid one?!!
