X308 inner wing tops split

Is this terminal? Or an easy fix.. New to Jags and a long way from the car to just pop and view it..

This is what I was concerned about, if it meant there was more deep routed trouble ahead..

The sad thing is, the car has lots of history and a clean MOT history! No mention of even a corrosion advisory! So I was hoping this might be something simple.. Ish. Perhaps not then.

To be fair, this is a smoker.. An XJR for not much. Loads of history, tensioners done etc.

I read somewhere that that cracking can occur from wheel arch liner bolt holes? The metal doesn't look that rusty in the pics..
