Anyone got an F-Pace?
Discussion
I'm in the market for a new (or ideally slightly used) car and need something with room for 4 adults and a decent boot. The F-Pace looks like a very nice place to be so wondered if anyone on here has one and what their experience has been so far.
Also, if budget allows, would the 3L petrol be the one to go for or are any of the other engines better suited? Mix of local and motorway driving totalling about 7000 pa.
Thanks
Gary

Definatley get a RR Sport. My current car. Best all around vehicle, proper interior, handles beautifully. This is a Ford era derived product from LR and blows the ‘cheaper’ TATA modern JLR stuff out the water.....
Thanks. I was thinking going petrol next car but is the V6 diesel the choice for the RR Sport?London1986 said:

Volvo XC40.
Wow quite a u-turn! I'm guessing reliability was a factor? In the end I felt that reliability (against the Range
Rover) and the great interior and comfort of the XC pipped it for me.
It also has a great petrol engine and really great rear leg room for a smaller SUV.
Never even factored in the Volvo until I had a test drive.

what do you want ?
the F-PACE drives like a sports saloon
a RRS drives like a 2 tonne wobbly SUV
2 hour test drive in F Pace ... out down the road, back 5 mins later. Horrible wobbly barge of a car/thing. This is after the showroom model shot a weird running board out the side when the door was opened making it difficult to get it, and my wife pulled the handle off the boot space cover. Stay well clear of JLR tatthe F-PACE drives like a sports saloon

And just about every review you can find is complimentary about the handling, compared to others in the big off road barge class, of course.

I'm the OP and I ended up with a Volvo XC40 Petrol. I still like the F-Pace a lot but there were some great offers going on the Volvo.
yes thanks for letting me steal your thunder Gary - I did notice that, and I know the XC40/60/90 has some really good reviews, I just feel like for too many years I never picked up the car I wanted that gave me a bit of an 'oopmh', usually going for the safer option. Was there a Diesel option or did you opt for the Petrol for a particular reason? .
As I said, I got the petrol, T4. Didn't want a diesel and was trying pretty much every 4x4. I just sat in the XC and loved the feel of it - great interior and the T4 engine is more than I need.
The great thing is that there is a car for everyone out there somewhere
