Jaguar I-Pace lease thread
Discussion
Following on from the successful threads for Volvo’s, Golf R’s etc, I thought I would start one for those of us that have FTQ for an I-Pace lease.
I particular to try and gain an understanding of delivery and build progress.
So mine was ordered on the 24th for deliver in April.
I have a jag order number, so fingers crossed.

Horses for courses I guess. My mileage has taken a huge drop and 5-7k is what I am currently doing, I was after a lease and yes, I could have got someth8ng cheaper. But I fancied a full EV, I was looking at the Hyundai Kona, but the lease costs were significantly more expensive.
I thought it was too good to be true, but seems to be alright thus far.

For those that have ordered. I checked with the lease company today re. MY20 changes, they checked with the dealer who advised that the car will be MY20 and hence will have heated windscreen, heated washer jets and heated steering wheel.
Which is a bit of a result as I had asked for prices for the cold climate pack, but it added too much per month.

Thought I would post this. Jaguar in Holland have started handing out this memo to customers re. range. Apologies for google translate. I posted this on the i-pace forum:
Now there are 1,000 Jaguar i-pace on the road! And we count more every day. Customer first read that the i-pace would have a range, according to the NEDC, of 543km, then we get the results of the WLTP with a range of 480 that was later adjusted to 470km. Now that we are driving more and more, we also receive more feedback about the range with current weather conditions between 270km and 390km. Gragg we inform you to deal with this.
WLTP
The WLTP driving cycle is divided into four parts with different average speeds: low; average, fast and very fast. Each part includes a variety of row phases, stops, accelerations and braking. Of every type of car, every powertrain (engine and gearbox combination) is tested, with a WLTP outcome for the car in its lightest version (the most economical) and heaviest version (least economical).
The WLTP was developed with the aim to be used as a global test cycle for various regions in the world. So that CO2 emissions from polluting substances on the world scale would also be comparable. Although the WLTP indeed has a global common xxxx, the EU and other regions will apply the test in different ways, depending on legislation for road traffic needs.
Actual range Jaguar i-Pace in practice, between 270km - 555km
Customers will quickly notice on the basis of their driving behaviour and the temperature will differ so that the range will be less than the WLTP figures.
City Winter: 390km / 242mi
Highway Winter: 270km / 167mi
Combined Winter: 325km / 201mi
City Summer: 555km / 344mi
Highway Summer: 340km / 211mi
Combined Summer: 430km / 267mi
The actual range strongly depends on speed, driving behaviour, climate and route.

I suspect they're getting complaints from those new to EV driving, especially considering the i-Pace is quite poor on economy - and now winter's here those poor figures are even worse
This. It has even made it into the press:https://www.rtlz.nl/life/personal-finance/artikel/...
Having driven a demo on 22" wheels and air suspension and my car of 18" and steel suspension. I think that the better option would be mid size wheels 20" and air suspension. Not decrying the 18" and steel suspension, it is very good given what is being asked to do, but if it was my own money, I would go for 20" and air, with the dynamic settings. If I had 22" wheels I would be paranoid. The salesman when handing over the demo said 'whatever you do, don't kerb the wheels'!
The standard Meridian is fantastic, just feed it with lossless recordings via the USB and it really shines.
For me, ideal specification would be:
- S (why spend any more?)
- White (as the lighter colours show up the body structure / curves better IMHO)
- Black pack
- Black 20" Wheels
- Adaptive air
- Cheapest seat with lumbar support as I have a bad back and I am not sure if the seat is the problem - 1st long trip on Thursday so we will find out
- Driver pack
You don't need anything else. And I'm really missing the adaptive cruise from my Golf (I had become lazy!).

Folks, for those of us that have them, there appears to be a recall going out to tweak the regen failure reaction time.
