Hi all,

Wife E-Pace has developed a problem and wondered if any one else had this and what the fix was as other forums reporting that the techs hadn't identified the cause of the problem.

The engine fan is kicking in as soon as it reaches temperature. Sounds like a jet engine

It doesn't go off until it's cooled down but happens every time. 5,000 MLS on the clock and booked in tomorrow to Jag Nottm. Coolant all check and OK so it's a gremlin but not sure Jag have identified what's causing the problem.

It appears it's just started to be an issue. Seems to be affecting mostly after 4,000 MLS according to another forum. Trouble is the dealers are taking them in and are struggling to identify what is the cause. Some owners have had new fans, some new pumps and some have been told it's a software problem. Oh well see what we get told tomorrow.

Re key range what do you actually mean ?

Way more than that. If using the key buttons then 20 m +

If key in pocket wife can open by touching handle as long as within a couple of meters

The verdict is a knackered water pump. The problem is Jaguar don't have any and the part won't be in stock until a week on Friday. Nottm Jag have been good though and given us a loan car which we have to pick up tomorrow. They have said they have had to borrow it from Land Rover so I'm hoping for a RRS or Vogue but have a feeling it will be an Evoque

Have a good look around the loan car and agree it’s condition.

I was given one last week for what was supposed to be a day. Turned into 3.

Other than me having to rearrange the third day, it wasn’t an issue and the car sat unused in my garage most of the time.

However, on returning it they tried in the most inept and childish manner to get me to admit to having caused a scuff on the rear bumper, which I hadn’t.

A long story but I’ll be looking for another dealer and wouldn’t take another loan car without fully agreeing it’s condition first.

Your dealer may be better.
Had no problems at all, dealer has been great. Well done Nottingham Jag
