XJ40 spares help please in NW

A friend of mine has called me from overseas and has asked me to help him find a replacement fuel tank for his 1993 XJ40.

He found one in Crawley on Ebay but the seller won't ship, not even in the UK and it would be a 500 mile round trip for me to collect.

Can anyone suggest any breakers in the NW who may have an XJ40 or another source for a fuel tank please?

The ones I've tried have all said they haven't got one.

Many thanks, that was my thought but the seller won't entertain dealing with a courier either. I find it hard to believe that an XJ40 tank wouldn't be available locally.

Thsnks - it seems that a lot of these XJ40 are now beyond the breakers yards.

Yes - I suspect the shipping might be an issue but his intention is just to pick it up as "car parts". He wants me to make sure it is clear of fumes, smells liquids which I can do him.

Not very expensive but a good used one is peanuts as the complete cars are still very cheap.

It's just they are not as common as a few years ago.
